Styling Made Simple

Learn how to style outfits with Restyled.

Planning Outfits from Your Wardrobe

The real power of a digital wardrobe emerges when you start combining items into complete outfits. Restyled transforms this process from guesswork into a visual, data-driven activity.

Open the outfit planner and you'll see your entire cataloged wardrobe available for mixing and matching. Drag a top onto the canvas. Add a bottom. Include shoes and accessories. Layer on outerwear if the weather calls for it. What you're building is a complete look—a visual representation of exactly what you'll wear.

Each outfit you create can be saved, named, and categorized. Tag it as "work," "casual weekend," "date night," or "formal event." When you need inspiration next Tuesday morning, browse your saved outfits filtered by "work appropriate" and pick one. No standing in front of the closet trying combinations in your head.

AI-Powered Recommendations

RestyledAI analyzes your wardrobe and suggests combinations you might not have considered. The system looks at color compatibility, style cohesion, and seasonal appropriateness. It knows which items work well together based on fashion principles and your past preferences.

Ask the AI direct questions. "What should I wear to a business casual lunch meeting tomorrow?" The system checks tomorrow's weather forecast, filters for business-casual appropriate items, and generates 3-5 complete outfit options. Each suggestion includes top, bottom, shoes, and any necessary layers or accessories.

The recommendations improve as you use Restyled more. When you log which suggested outfits you actually wore, the AI learns your preferences. It discovers you prefer looser fits over fitted ones, or that you gravitate toward neutrals despite owning colorful pieces. Future suggestions adapt to your actual behavior, not just theoretical style rules.

Weather-Integrated Planning

Connect your location and Restyled pulls weather forecasts automatically. The system uses this data to filter outfit suggestions intelligently.

Tomorrow's forecast shows 45°F with light rain? Outfits include water-resistant outerwear, closed-toe shoes, and layering pieces. Next week looks warm and sunny? Expect suggestions featuring breathable fabrics, lighter colors, and sandals or sneakers.

Premium subscribers see a 7-day outfit planner that maps complete looks to each day's weather. Sunday evening, review the week ahead. Monday through Friday outfits are pre-planned based on forecasted conditions. Tuesday shows rain, so the outfit includes your waterproof jacket and boots. Thursday looks warm, so shorts and a t-shirt are suggested.

This feature eliminates the morning scramble of checking weather and mentally filtering your closet for appropriate items. The work is done in advance; you simply follow the plan.

Calendar Sync for Event Planning

Integrate your Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar to see upcoming events directly in Restyled. When you have "Client Presentation" on Friday at 2pm, the app shows it. Assign an outfit to that event now—don't wait until Friday morning when you're rushed.

For recurring events, the system tracks what you've worn previously. If you have monthly team meetings, Restyled shows your outfit history for those meetings. Avoid wearing the exact same look two months in a row. Or intentionally repeat an outfit if it worked well and nobody will notice.

Special events get special treatment. Weddings, job interviews, important dates—these are flagged for extra planning attention. Build the outfit weeks in advance, try it on, make adjustments if needed. When the event arrives, the guesswork is eliminated.

Occasion-Based Filtering

Different contexts demand different clothing. Restyled understands this and filters your wardrobe accordingly.

Need gym clothes? Filter by "athletic" to see only workout-appropriate items. Planning a beach vacation? The "resort/beach" filter shows swimwear, cover-ups, sandals, and light summer dresses. Attending a black-tie wedding? "Formal" filtering reveals your dressiest options.

These filters combine with other criteria. "Casual tops I haven't worn in 2 months" rediscovers neglected items perfect for weekend errands. "Professional dresses appropriate for 60-70°F weather" narrows choices for tomorrow's work event.

The more you use occasion tags during cataloging, the more powerful this becomes. Tag items honestly—don't mark something "comfortable" if it's actually fashion over comfort. Accurate tags mean accurate filtering, which means faster outfit decisions.

Building Capsule Wardrobes

Capsule wardrobes are intentional, limited collections where every item works with multiple others. Restyled's collection feature makes building these simple.

Create a new collection called "Spring 2026 Capsule." Set a limit—30 pieces, for example. Now select items from your wardrobe that fit the criteria: neutral colors, versatile styles, appropriate for spring weather.

As you add items, Restyled shows how many outfit combinations are possible. A well-designed 30-piece capsule might generate 100+ distinct outfits. If your combination count is low, the capsule needs more versatile pieces or better color coordination.

Use the outfit planner to actually build those combinations. Prove to yourself that the capsule works in practice, not just theory. When you find gaps—"I have no casual shoes that work with these pants"—you've identified a real wardrobe need, not an impulse purchase.

Practical Styling Workflows

Morning decision-making: Open Restyled. Check today's weather and calendar. View outfit suggestions filtered for today's conditions and events. Pick one, get dressed, start your day. Total time: 2 minutes.

Sunday planning: Review next week's calendar. Note important events or weather changes. Pre-plan outfits for each day. Assign them in the app. Monday through Friday, follow the plan with zero daily decision-making.

Packing for travel: Create a "Vacation June 2026" collection. Check the destination's weather forecast. Add items to the collection that work for those conditions. Build 7-10 outfits using only collection items. Pack exactly what's in the collection—nothing more, nothing less. Arrive at your destination knowing every item works together.

Rediscovering forgotten items: Sort your wardrobe by "least recently worn." The items at the top have been neglected. Build outfits featuring these pieces. Sometimes you've forgotten you own something perfect for this week's weather. Other times you realize an item truly doesn't fit your current lifestyle and should be donated.

Learning Your Style Patterns

After a few months of logging outfit choices, patterns emerge. You thought you'd wear all those business formal outfits to work, but data shows you actually dress business casual 90% of the time. That formal wear isn't getting used.

Or you discover you wear the same 20 items in rotation while 80 others sit idle. This isn't a failure—it's valuable information. Build your next wardrobe around those 20 items you love. Stop buying items similar to the 80 you ignore.

Seasonal analysis reveals whether you actually need heavy winter coats in your climate, or if you're over-invested in summer clothes you rarely wear. Regional weather data combined with your actual wearing habits produces insights impossible to see otherwise.

The outfit planner isn't just about looking good today. It's about understanding your relationship with clothing over time, making smarter purchases, and building a wardrobe that actually serves your life.
